Belamis waved her space sword to release the energy she absorbed, and a gigantic tidal wave like energy rushed to the enemy Golinkor battleships. Belamis felt a pain ripped through her, and for a moment she felt she was going to die.
Then a series of explosion occurred, Belamis struggled to remain standing.
Crew at Galaxy Warrior watched anxiously, and saw majority of the enemy battleship were destroyed.
The whole control room yelled in excitement. The Greg shouted, "Look!!! ... Space.. space monster!"
Belamis also saw them, at least 20 of them, in all shapes. "They used the disturbance of Galaxy energy to create them...."
Medora was at the control room, and saw that.
"Belamis would be killed.... she had exhausted all her energy..." Admiral Yautsin said. "Get her back!"
"No.... I have to fight the space monsters..." Belamis replied.
"Sir...." Medora spoke softly to Admiral Yautsin.
"What is it ?"
"I... I can help Belamis..... she is a Gariusu giantess.... she was the warrior to guard the Galaxy.... I can help her..."
"You ?"
"I.... I have Galaxy energy...."
Belamis breathed heavily.... she found it hard to even raise her arms.... the space sword hurricane drained nearly all of her life energy... Belamis hold on solely by her willpower, and she found she could not even see clearly.
"No..." Belamis thought， "I... I... have to change to giantess form..."
Yet this change was not controllable by Belamis.
Then a small craft headed to her, escorted by a number of fighters...
Belamis saw in the craft soldiers and among the people Medora.
"Medora ?" Belamis exclaimed.
The craft stopped by Belamis side, and the other space fighters were heading to the space monsters.
"Belamis... I have to do this.." Medora said. Then a surge of Galaxy energy streamed towards Belamis, and Belamis felt her strength was restored.
Then Medora held up the scepter, and said, "Belamis..."
Belamis nodded.
A beam from the scepter fired at Belamis forehead. Belamis leaped out of her jet and let out a loud cry, and transformed into the giantess.
Belamis flexed her strong muscles, and roared. The people in the space craft and fighters near Belamis watched in total amazement.
In space, Belamis in giantess form was floating, Belamis roared, and then a field formed on her feet, she stepped on it like a stepping stone and leaped with all her might to the space monsters.
The crew at Galaxy Union fleet saw the giantess, and were stunned.
Admiral Yautsin looked, and said, "... our warrior giantess...."
Belamis roared as she raced to the space monsters, grabbing them by her bare hands and fighting them.
"Help Belamis!" Yautsin commanded.
The remaining battleships and space fighters of the Galaxy Union force fired at the space monsters.
At the same time, Golinkor fleet still had a number of battleships that could fight, they fired at Galaxy Union fleet.
Belamis was surrounded by the space monsters, and the monsters used their claws, sharp teeth, sharp horns to maim and hurt Belamis. The monsters fired flames and energy beams at Belamis, and Belamis was hit. Yet Belamis was unafraid, her body bleeding with multiple wounds, but she fought bravely, roaring loudly and hurling her kicks and punches, and knocking their horns off.
The space squadrons watched, and one pilot said, "..... our captain... she is fighting with her own naked body!!! Help her!!!"
All those who were once members of Lacets and Guima legion were loyal to Belamis. Belamis were kind to them, and they admired Belamis. They fired at the monsters. Those already fired all their weapons steered their fighter and crashed onto the monsters... blowing themselves up.
Belamis saw that, and in her giantess voice, muttered... "no.... no..." and she shook her head.
One space fighter flew to Belamis, and the pilot said, "... Captain..... you are not just our captain, but the guardian of the Galaxy.... we are honored to fight alongside with you.." The pilot flew his space fighter to one monster and blew up the space fighter, injuring the monster severely.
Belamis roared and tears streamed out her eyes, she then used her only weapon as the giantess -- releasing a powerful surge of energy to the space monsters surrounding her....
In a huge glow, the space monsters were all burnt and electrocuted. Belamis breathed heavily, body bleeding, and the space craft carrying Medora raced to Belamis, Medora hold up the scepter, and turned Belamis back to human form.
The battle was indeed a very gruesome one. The Golinkor fleet was destroyed, but Galaxy Union fleet suffered great loss. The 200 member space squadron had only 43 survivors. Lt. Loken died. Out of the 12 battleships of Galaxy Union, 6 were destroyed, 3 were severely damaged, Galaxy Warrior the flagship and 2 others sustained damage.
Belamis was severely injured, and Dr. Joey was tending her, with Medora at her side.
Dr. Joey looked at the scepter, and asked, "You mean.... this scepter can turn Belamis to the giantess...?"
Medora nodded, "... yes... if the one using it ... could amplify Galaxy energy..."
Dr. Joey replied, "I see..."
Belamis gradually regained consciousness, and saw Medora. Belamis hugged her, and looked at Dr. Joey, and said, "Thank you..."
Dr. Joey shook her head and said, "....no worries... I have to take care of other wounded soldiers..."
Belamis looked at Medora, and said, "....it turns out that you did the right thing following me.... I might not be able to transform to the giantess..."
Belamis body was in bandages, and she wanted to get up.
"No...." Medora said.
Belamis looked at Medora gently, and said, "This is a war now..."
Belamis stood up, Medora helped her up. Belamis put on her suit, and went to Admiral Yautsin's room.
"Sir.." Belamis saluted Yautsin.
"Belamis.... this was the worst scenario.... we lost a large part of our forces.... and it seems that Golinkor still had more battleships..." Yautsin remarked.
"....the cancer progressed.... soon I would not even be able to get up from the bed.... or even stay conscious..." Yautsin said.
Belamis looked at him, and said, "....I....I..."
"I appoint you to be the captain of Galaxy Warrior, in my place..." Yautsin said.
"I..." Belamis stuttered and was uneasy about this..
"Colonel Belamis.... you have the courage, talent, leadership...and the loyalty of the troops... you are the finest commander I ever saw..." Yautsin said, "... plus... your giantess form...."
Belamis replied, "I will accomplish the mission..."
Belamis walked out Yautsin's room and went to the main command room, and took Yautsin's Captain's seat.
The crew looked at her, Belamis said, "... Admiral Yautsin ... is unable to continue his duty as captain of this ship....he appointed me to be the Captain..."
The crew in the room saluted to her.
"We have only three battleships that could go on ..." Belamis replied, "Galaxy Union reinforcement would be days away. If we encounter Golinkor forces before reinforcement arrives, we will be in deep trouble."
"I have to be honest with you all, that might mean we will all die..." Belamis said.
"Captain.... we are with you..." Lester said.
The whole crew responded, "We are not afraid."
Belamis said, "Thank you...all of you..."
The Galaxy Union, along with 2 other ships which could still fight continued. They met head on with two Golinkor fleets.
The Golinkor commander was President Gulok. He was also the chief commander of Golinkor army. He got the latest situation.
"That cyborg warrior... what's the name again ?"
"Belamis... she's from Gariusu, we found out that she is also the legendary Gariusu giantess warrior. She is an ace space fighter pilot, a soldier.... our forces met her a number of times... she possessed super-human powers..."
Gulok hit the table in anger, and yelled, "...we must kill her!"
His cabinet were members of his family. The prime minister, the General were his own brothers. Golinkor was ruled by Gulok's dictatorship. They wanted to expand their empire.
"We lost two main armada....we only have one single fleet with our flagship". General Maka replied.
Gulok said, "That will be enough.... and I want that cyborg dead!" He hurled his dagger to the wall.
Belamis was not resting at all, she stayed up, overseeing the battleships.
"A transmission from Galaxy Union..." Greg said.
"Belamis!" At the other end was Jan Kugo.
Belamis saw Kugo's face and heard his voice, and her heart felt very warm. She replied, "Kugo... you are coming ?"
"Belamis, all of the forces will join you.... to the final battle with Golinkor... and I want to see you.."
Belamis felt sweet, but she was the Captain, so she gave a straight face, and said, "We will wait for you."
Kugo took the hint, and responded, "Captain Belamis, ETA of our force arrival, 32 hours."
The communication session ended.
Belamis looked at the starry cosmos outside, and remembered the day she first met Kugo. It was just like yesterday to Belamis. Their love germinated gradually when Belamis turned away from the evil forces, and she joined hands with Kugo. Belamis loved Kugo, and now they would face an enormous challenge. The mighty Golinkor forces which was beyond Belamis' grasp, and the prospect that she or Kugo, or both would die.
"I will not let Kugo die..." Belamis thought. It was the same thought she had when she saw the photo monster at the Great Planet. Only she had the kind of weapon to deal with it, and she decided to sacrifice herself, for those who lost their planets....and for her only love.
At the Galaxy Union reinforcement, was Kugo, thinking the same stuff... the first time he met Belamis...and of course the several occasion he thought Belamis perished, but she lived. Kugo remembered that fateful day when he hesitated and did not stop Belamis in time, it was only sheer luck that Belamis lived.
"Belamis... this time... don't sacrifice....and I wont' let you!" Kugo thought.
The reinforcement fleet from Galaxy Union headed to the Galaxy Union frontier force, and Belamis was the commander in chief.
