Chapter 49 - Idina and Sonya

"Another girl with Galaxy Energy..... Belamis, you have to protect her too.." Dr. Kitty replied.

"That's what I think. The baby girl is exposed and I cannot leave her in this planet or she will be vulnerable." Belamis replied, as Medona held Idina in her arms.

Idina was fast asleep.

Belamis was thinking about Sonya. Sonya in giantess form was human like, wore armour and armed with her double side sword.

The thing which bothered Belamis most was another -- Sonya looked exactly like the statue that was the nemesis of the goddess which resembled her. Belamis then asked, "Apart from Gariusu giantess, are there other giants or giantess ?"

Dr. Kitty replied, "Why are you asking that ?"

"I fought with another giantess.... in a planet we visited, a temple had statue of a goddess which protected them.. one looked exactly like me. I presumed she was the ancient Gariusu giantess, but there's one statue that represented the nemesis of the goddess, and she .." Belamis stopped.

Medora continued, "Dr. Kitty, Belamis fought with a giantess, and this giantess looked like that statue that of the nemesis....that giantess hurt Belamis badly..."

Belamis looked at Medora. Belamis was not angry, but just looked troubled.

"Let me check that out..." Dr. Kitty replied as she signed off.

Medora looked at Belamis, and asked, "Did...did I say anything wrong...?"

Belamis shook her head, "I don't intend to tell Dr. Kitty that much.. you tell her because you care about me..."

"You don't want to fight Sonya ?" Medora realized.

Belamis fell silent. She stood up and exited Starry Princess.

Medora watched in silent and followed without a word.

Belamis sat down, and looked at the heavens. She was  thinking about Sherius.

"I cannot do it..." Belamis thought.

Then she heard a little baby chuckling. Idina was beside her, and pulling her skirt.

Belamis face turned from serious to mellow, and she gently picked up Idina, and Medora sat beside her.

"I know what you think..." Medora said, "..you hoped that Sonya one day can turn away from Delexa... like you who recognized you served a evil legion..."

"More than that.... I promised Sherius... I failed to protect Sherius.. I cannot imagine failing Sherius a second time..." Said Belamis. Belamis was thinking about her grief when she found Sherius dead after Queen Lacets attacked the outpost of the foreign legion behind her back.

When Belamis found Sherius, Sherius was holding the necklace Belamis gave her. Belamis carried Sherius body a long way before she put her down.

In that walk, Belamis felt Sherius body was very heavy, despite Belamis was a cyborg with super human strength - because Belamis was grief stricken and she was deeply hurt by Sherius tragic death.

Belamis bowed her head, and saw Idina's face. Idina reached out her little hands and tried to touch Belamis face. Belamis bowed her head lower and let Idina touch her.

"I will protect you..and Medora with my life.." Belamis said to Idina gently.

Medora was afraid - Belamis would hold back when she fought Sonya. That would mean Belamis be hurt by Sonya.

Dr. Kitty tried to find out if there were other giantess other than Belamis' Gariusu race.

Dr. Kitty found out and those findings scared her.

"That giantess..... if that is the case, Belamis is in great danger!!!"

Dr. Kitty quickly contacted Starry Princess.

It was Medora who answered.

"Medora, you must get Belamis to see this!!!" Dr. Kitty urged.

"Belamis is outside!!!" Medora replied.

Belamis was carrying Idina in her arms and wandered out.

Belamis looked at the small baby girl, "Little one... what shall I do ?"

Belamis signed, "I am just so silly... getting advice from a baby..." She gently stroke Idina's hair and face.

"Little one.... I will protect you..." Belamis swore.

Idina looked at Belamis with her innocent eyes, and then smiled.

"Hahaha... how cute..." A hideous laugh - it was Sonya.

"Don't you dare harm Idina!" Belamis shouted.

Sonya was in human form - in her armour and holding her sword.

"You see... Not only I can fight you in human form, I can also transform into a giantess and fight you anytime. You cannot protect that baby - and with Delexa as my master, you cannot defeat me..." Sonya laughed.

Belamis held Idina in her arms, and stared at Sonya with her sapphire eyes in a determined look.

Sonya avoided Belamis' stare, and said, "Don't try to play tough..."

Then a monster appeared -- it was constituted of cloud and thunder.

"See how you can protect that baby!!" Laughed Sonya.

Belamis held Idina, and leaped to avoid the thunder bolts.

"If I got hit... Idina would be fried by the bolt..." Belamis was worried.

"hahaha... not so tough with that baby???" Sonya laughed.

Belamis was in an awkward situation - she could not put Idina down, but if she hold onto her, she could not fight.

Then Idina cried.

"What is it ?" Belamis asked. She then felt the collar round her neck was tightening and there were blasts of electromagnetic energy to her.

"Idina.... she is telling me to let go of her!" Belamis realized.

Idina cried again, and the louder she cried, the pain on Belamis multiplied.

"No...." Belamis looked Idina in her eyes, and said again very gently, "No..."

Idina looked at Belamis, full of innocence.

The monster was relentless, and then it sent more lightning bolts. Belamis landed on a cliff and the lightning hit the cliff side. The cliff collapsed and Belamis fell off the cliff with Idina in her arms.

"No!!!!"  As Belamis concern with Idina intensified, she transformed to the giantess form, and she roared.

The thunder monster let out multiple  bolts of lightning to hit Belamis. Belamis roared and she turned to Sonya and her battleship.

"Belamis, the monster's source of energy is not with me nor the battleship! Figure that out!" Sonya laughed.

Belamis could not fight because Idina was in her palm, and she could only dodge away from the lightning bolts.

Idina cried and Belamis looked. Then a lightning bolt raced towards them. Belamis roared, and in her palm a special energy shield enveloped Idina, and Belamis was hit by the lighting bolt.

Belamis fell to the ground, holding Idina - Idina was unharmed, but she was crying.

Belamis looked at Idina and saw she was unharmed. The monster delivered multiple lightning bolts hitting Belamis, and Belamis roared in pain as she protected Idina.

Then Belamis stood up, with one palm holding Idina in an energy shield, she roared and sent out a blast of electromagnetic energy, hitting the cloud -- the monster was unharmed.

Then suddenly the monster shot out two lightning bolts -  and it hit Belamis' chest and poke through her like two sharp spears - Belamis growled in pain.

"The lightning monster can give its lightning substance, and it can impale you..." Laughed Sonya.

Blood flowed out of the two wounds on Belamis body, and Belamis could think of no other method to fight that monster.

Yet Belamis was determined to protect the small infant, and her body glowed -- her determination invoked her golden giantess form - Belamis body turned to golden color, and from Belamis' breast shot out a beam of energy, blocking the lightning bolts.

Then the monster retreated.

Belamis landed on the ground and returned to human form. Medora ran and found them. Belamis hold Idina in her arms, and her wounds were bleeding.

Idina looked at Belamis wounds and cried. It seemed that Idina knew Belamis was in pain.

"Belamis...you are wounded..." Medora quickly grab some cloth and bandaged Belamis.

"I am fine..." Belamis replied, and she looked at Idina, and said gently, "Don't cry.... I am OK..."

Idina reached out her little hands and touched Belamis' chest, where the wound was.

Belamis gave Idina to Medora, so that Medora hold her.

"She is trying to heal me with her powers.." Belamis said, "I don't want her to use her energy on me. It can harm her.." Belamis said.

Idina cried as Belamis handed her to Medora.

"Don't cry.... Belamis is just caring for you.." Medora tried comforting the baby.

"Belamis, Dr. Kitty sent back information about the other giantess you asked...." Medora replied.

Belamis and Medora went back to Starry Princess and Belamis contacted Dr. Kitty.

"Belamis, yes... there is another race of giants - they lived at the planet adjacent to yours  - Yolen. Unlike you, the capability of changing to giants is not restricted to female like Gariusu, and they can change at will. The powers these giants have are strong....in the legends about Gariusu giantesses, some of these giants turned evil and tried to harm the bearer of the Galaxy Energy... Gariusu giantess got in their way, and so the two giantesses fought... in the end the Gariusu giantess defeated the Yolen giantess... with Gariusu giantess severely wounded..."

"A repeat of history..?" Belamis murmured....

Idina fell asleep. Medora looked after her tenderly.

"You cannot avoid fighting Sonya if she's the Yolen giantess.. your nemesis..." Medora said softly.

Belamis sat and rested, her wounds hurt, but inside her she felt more pain.

Then Belamis slowly fell asleep.

Belamis had a dream - in the dream Idina grew up to be a little girl of around 7 - 8 years old.

"Idina...?" Belamis said.

"Belamis.... the gentle and strong giantess... I know your heart is troubled..." Idina said.

Belamis was tongue tied.

"Belamis, I cannot ask you to kill someone you cared about to protect me..." Idina said.

"Idina..." Belamis said.

Then Belamis woke up.

She looked at the baby girl Idina beside her.

Then Belamis heard sound from outside - the monster came.

Belamis without blinking her eyes just stormed out.

Medora was awaken and she ran to Idina - Idina started crying.

Belamis was wearing a small skirt and her upper body bandaged.

"Belamis, good morning...." Sonya laughed.

"Sonya...." Belamis thought.

The monster made of thunder cloud appeared.

"Belamis!" Medora could not come out to help Belamis to transform, as she had to look out for Idina.

"You pathetic bitch... cannot change to giantess now? Hahaha!!" Laughed Sonya.

The monster sent out a lightning bolt headed towards Starry Princess.

"No!!!" Belamis yelled and dashed and blocked that bolt with her body.

Belamis fell to the ground, and her body ached. The wounds on her chest were torn open, and the bandages were soaked in her blood.

"Try this!" Sonya laughed.

The monster sent out many bolts of lightning to Starry Princess, and all were blocked by Belamis using her body. Yet some bolts had substance, and the bolts impaled Belamis. Belamis body was bleeding all over.

Medora watched and cried. Then Idina woke up, she saw blood covering Belamis' body, and she started to cry.

"Idina!!!" Belamis heard the sound of her crying....

Belamis yelled, and she just transformed to the giantess.

Belamis looked at the thunder cloud monster, and she figured out how that monster worked -- its all geography 101 - if there was a difference in electrical charge and moisture, then clouds and thunderstorm would form.

Belamis roared, and she sent out a powerful surge of electrical particles and heat - the monster dissipated.

Sonya watched, and remembered Belamis excelled in science.

"Damn..." She  thought.

Belamis changed back to human form. Medora carried Idina out.

"I am OK..." Belamis smiled.

But Idina was crying non-stop.

"Why are you crying ?" Belamis held Idina in her arms, and then she saw another vision....
