Chapter 62 The song from the ocean

As Belamis and her company traveled to the stars and planets near Gariusu, they had to stop on another planet again.

Starry Princess landed.

Nick and Medora were thrilled to see they landed on a sandy beach and the ocean was beautiful.

Medora changed to her swimsuit, and Nick in his pants. They were out swimming.

Belamis held Idina in her arms and sat just stood at the shallow waters.

Idina touched Belamis body, and babbled, "Be..la..mis.."

"No... you cannot go into the water yet!!!" Belamis smiled. She placed Idina on the sand, and said, "Play with the sand..."

Then Belamis heard a sound.

Belamis stood up and looked to the ocean - it was like a song, but it sounded sad.

Belamis was in her fighting suit, so she took the suit off, wearing just a cloth to cover her private parts, topless and dived into the ocean.

Belamis kept diving deeper and deeper, following the sound, which was like a song.

Then Belamis arrived at the deepest part of the ocean, and saw large sea monsters surrounding a mermaid held captive in a cage!

The sea monsters looked like eels, large sharks and jelly fishes. Belamis saw the girl mermaid was terrified, and her song was of distress.

Belamis immediately swam towards the mermaid, but she had not brought her sword and weapons.

One gigantic eel then entangled Belamis and struck her with electric shock.

The girl mermaid saw Belamis being attacked, and was horrified.

Belamis only wanted to save the mermaid, and she struggled.

The gigantic jelly fish used its stingy tentacles to attack Belamis, stinging Belamis.

Then the sharks bang on the cage and the mermaid cried.

Belamis, in her altruistic heart, transformed.

The giant sea monsters surrounded Belamis and attacked her. Belamis roared, and fought back.

But the monsters were ferocious, and one poked its horn into Belamis' left shoulder.

Belamis roared, and fought back, driving the monsters away. Belamis felt her body was hurting all over, and then there was the song again.... it was soothing to Belamis as she listened, like when she listened to the lullaby from her mother. Then Belamis saw the mermaid.

Belamis freed the mermaid, and hold the mermaid in her hands, and swam up from the deep.

Belamis arrived at a shore, and it was a beach. Belamis looked at the mermaid.

Belamis radiated her energy to heal the little mermaid. The mermaid looked at the giantess, and found her wounds healed.

Then Belamis nodded her head, and placed the mermaid to the beach; then Belamis fell on her knees, turned into her human form and fainted.

Belamis groaned, and woke up.

Before her was the mermaid, gazing at her. Belamis sat up, and said, "Are you OK ?"

The mermaid just made soft sounds, "A...ri.el..."

"You cannot talk ?" Belamis remarked.

Belamis got up, despite her wounds, and she gently placed her hands on the mermaids shoulder, "I...I am.. Belamis. You are Ariel ?"

"Be..la..mis..." The mermaid replied, and she nodded.

Then Ariel dived into the water and came up again, holding sea weeds. She squeezed the weeds to a soft paste, put on Belamis' wounded shoulder.

Belamis saw Ariel was treating her wounds, and nodded. Then Ariel got some thicker weeds and bandaged up Belamis.

"Thank you..."

Ariel smiled.

Belamis immediately felt the pain on her wound eased, the sea weeds had healing properties, and it eased her painful wound.


Ariel gazed into Belamis' blue eyes. Then Ariel struggled to crawl.

"Let me.." Belamis carried Ariel in her arms.

"Arh..." Belamis groaned as she exerted herself, and she jolted her wounded shouder.

Ariel gazed at Belamis, eyes full of worry.

"It's OK..." Belamis smiled gently.

Ariel looked at Belamis, and pointed her fingers to the hill.

"Your home ? You want to go there ?"

Ariel nodded.

Belamis carried Ariel and walked up the hill, and arrived at a cave.

Ariel pointed there, and point to the ground.

"You want me to put you down ?"

Ariel nodded.

Belamis put Ariel on the ground, and Ariel struggled and crawled into the cave. Belamis followed.

There was a shrine, and statues there.

Then Ariel pointed to some paintings on the cave walls. In the paintings was a mermaid following a figure resembling Belamis.

"Oh dear..."

Belamis looked at Ariel, and pondered. Ariel gazed at Belamis, and her eyes showed a yearning.

"Rest..." Belamis remarked, though she was enduring wounds on her body.

"I am alright..." Smiled Belamis, as she felt compassion towards Ariel. Belamis carried Ariel in her arms and said, "Let's find a place to rest..."

"There...." Belamis gently placed Ariel on a bed of grass.

Ariel made a small sound, and nodded. She smiled, and opened her mouth, and began to sing.

The song was ethereal, mysterious, sad and passionate, and Belamis found herself shedding tears.

Ariel touched Belamis face, and wiped her tears.

Belamis said, "Just rest..."

Belamis then dozed off.

Belamis woke up and found Ariel missing.

Ariel left quietly as Belamis was resting. Ariel looked at the cave drawing depicting the love of the mermaid princess to the guardian.

The mermaid could not talk, so she just sang to the guardian.

Belamis heard the singing and followed the voice. She found Ariel.

Ariel pointed to the ocean.

Belamis carried Ariel back to the shore and placed Ariel into the water gently.

Ariel gazed at Belamis strong and muscular body, and blushed.

"Is it comfortable ?" Belamis asked gently, worrying about her.

Ariel smiled, and shook her head.

Belamis then said, "I must leave... my friends would be worried about me..." Belamis dived into the ocean, and swam back.

Ariel looked, and had a sad face. "Goodbye... Ariel.." Belamis said.

Belamis swam back, and found Nick and Medora.

"Where have you been ? We have been looking all over for you !" Nick cried.

"I am alright..." Belamis got out of the water.

"You are wounded!" Medora exclaimed as she saw bandages on Belamis.

"It's OK. The wounds are not hurting now..." Belamis replied, "Let's go..."

Nick remarked, "OK..."

Belamis picked up Idina, who was looking at her. Idina looked worried.

Belamis gently hold Idina, and said, "I am sorry...."

Idina babbled, "Be..la..mis..". Belamis bowed her head to Idina's face, and Idina kissed her.

The company boarded Starry Princess, and as Nick started the engine, he found something was wrong.

"Gosh... what caught Starry Princess???" Nick turned on the monitor, and there were numerous monster jelly fish pulled Starry Princess below the waters.

"Monsters!" Belamis said. "Nick, take care of things here!" Belamis ran out, with herself in her fighting suit. She put on her helmet, and took off her cape, and pulled out her electromagnetic sword. Then Belamis dived into the waters.

Belamis swam near the monstrous jelly fish and raised her sword and cut the tentacles. Then more jelly fishes and eels appeared round Belamis.

"The same monsters that attacked the mermaid..." Belamis thought, as she swam around and raised her sword and fought them.

In the water Belamis was not as quick and her agility was severely limited. Then an eel entangled round her and shock her with high voltage electricity.

Belamis cried in pain. Then the jelly fishes' stingy tentacles attacked Belamis. Belamis saw Starry Princess was in danger, and her forehead glowed. Belamis transformed into her giantess form.

But the monsters were relentless, and they surrounded Belamis. A huge shark bit Belamis, then Belamis felt her limbs were numbed as the poison of the stingy jelly fishes entered her body.

"Belamis!!" Medora yelled.

"Be..la..mis.." Idina babbled as she watched Belamis in danger.

Then more monsters attacked Belamis - numerous tentacles entangled round Belamis body, and the eels delivering painful electric shocks to Belamis.
Then Belamis heard a song. It's Ariel coming to her. She saw Belamis in danger.

Then a jelly fish lashed it's tentacles at Ariel, hitting her.

Belamis roared and broke free, catching Ariel and hit the monster. She placed Ariel into a small cave, and fought the monsters, delivering kicks and punches to them.

Belamis then let out her energy and hit the monsters around her, driving them away.

Belamis turned back to her human form. Belamis carried Ariel in her arms and swam to the shore.

Ariel was hurt. Medora and Nick came out of Starry Princess.

"We mustn't leave her alone..." Belamis said.

Medora and Nick nodded.

"Let's stay and see that she's well." Medora said.

The company stayed, with Medora and Belamis taking care of Ariel.

Ariel rested and gradually got well. Idina and Medora befriended Ariel, and Medora tended Ariel's hair.

Ariel's eyes glowed with joy and she was surrounded by love. Belamis tenderly took care of Ariel.

The girls played with Ariel, and Ariel was fond of Idina and Medora.

After a few days, Ariel's wound was healed.

Belamis in her fighting suit, carried Ariel in her arms. Ariel gazed at Belamis.

Belamis took Ariel to the sea side, and placed her in the water.

"Goodbye..." Belamis said.

Ariel dived into the water and not looking back. She was crying.

Nick said, "Let's get going!" He started the engine of Starry Princess.

Then there was a violent bang, and Starry Princess just dropped back to the sea.

"What the ?" Nick yelled.

Medora exclaimed, "We are sinking!" As the water level rose above Starry Princess.

Belamis went out and dived into the waters. Numerous monsters were pulling Starry Princess down, dragging it to the deep.

Belamis used her telepathy to Medora, "Transform me!"

Medora ran out to the deck as Starry Princess was shaking violently. She fell onto the deck, and held up the scepter and transformed Belamis to the giantess.

"Aaaaaeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" Medora screamed as she fell off the deck.

Belamis caught Medora in her hands and put her back onto Starry Princess.

"Get inside..." Belamis in telepathy.

Belamis dived deep and battled with the monsters - gigantic sharks, eels, jelly fishes and now large crabs.

A gigantic crab used its clamps and grabbed Belamis on both of her arms from her back.

Then a shark swam and bit her chest.

Belamis roared, and as she tried to struggle, numerous jelly fish tentacles entangled Belamis, the poison from the tentacles were injected to Belamis' body, and Belamis had a painful cramp all over her.

Belamis roared in pain. Then an large eel wrapped round Belamis body and sent a strong electric shock to her.

"Gosh!! Belamis was in danger!" Nick yelled.

As Belamis struggled, she heard a song. She looked, and it was Ariel swimming back.

Belamis shook her head, and uttered, "Go..aw..way....."

Ariel stopped before her.

Then Belamis head in telepathy a voice.

"Belamis... Long long time ago this planet was a kingdom of mermaids, and the princess awaited her lover. The lover was a strong gentle and compassion warrior. The mermaid loved the warrior, and she would do anything for the warrior, and she would gave the warrior the pink pearl to show her love - the pink pearl was the mermaid's own heart."

Ariel swam to Belamis, and then she opened her chest, and held in her hands a large pink pearl.

"Ariel!!!" Belamis uttered.

The pearl radiated energy and Belamis felt her body energized, and she broke away from the tentacles.

Then monsters surrounded Ariel.

Belamis roared and shielded Ariel. Ariel looked at Belamis and smiled, and she swam away from Belamis' hand and swam to the monsters so swiftly that Belamis could not catch her!

"No..." Belamis uttered.

The pearl in Ariel's hand glowed to a blinding light, and the monsters all disappeared.

Then Ariel sank to the bottom of the sea, holding the pearl.

Belamis dived down and got Ariel up, she swam to the shore, changing back to human form, and holding Ariel in her arms.

Ariel opened her eyes, and smiled.

In telepathy, Ariel said, "One day the warrior was fighting the monsters attacking the kingdom of the mermaids, the warrior was in danger, the princess wanted to help, but the warrior stopped her... all of the people of the kingdom perished, the warrior died except the princess.. the princess waited for the warrior she loved to come back.... to give her heart to her..."

Then Ariel held up the pink pearl and put onto Belamis chest.

Belamis watched in awe as the pearl glowed and healed her wounds, then it turned to a ball of energy, and entered her body.

"No....." Belamis exclaimed.

"The princess gave her heart to the warrior....and joined the warrior....." Ariel said in telepathy, and then she began to sing.

Belamis listened, and tears streaming out of her eyes, "No.. !"

Ariel began changing to bits of lights as she sings, and the bits of lights dissipated. Then the song turned to  a long silent.

Belamis knelt on the ground and was stunned, in her hands there was only Ariel's necklace.

The next day, Belamis buried the necklace on the beach they met.

Nick, Medora and Idina stood by. Medora cried.

"It is so sad...." Nick remarked, as he held hands with Medora.

"She loved Belamis..." Medora recalled her own love to Belamis too.

Belamis looked at the little tomb, and remained silent, "Why do all the people who loved me die ?"
