Chapter 75 The bid to heal Belamis

Dr. Kitty and company took Belamis back to Earth.

As soon as they arrived, they placed Belamis on the special levitating bed.

Medora was crying nonstop. Idina too. They loved Belamis and now Belamis was wounded beyond any human imagination.

Dr. Kitty used electrodes that attached to Belamis' head to try the best to stop her moving a muscle - even a movement could send the pains of the Avici at sixteenth level all over her.

The wounds on Belamis' body were not healing at all, and everyday Medora carefully cleaned the opened wounds on her - and puss were seeping out her wounds - Belamis was in pain constantly.

Dr. Kitty only managed to carefully paste back the pieces of torn pectorals on her chest.

However Belamis arms were a much difficult task.

Dr. Joey placed those arms in a special tank to preserve them.

Medora's heart was broken as she cleaned Belamis' wounds everyday - they gave up bandaging Belamis' body as she the wounds just would not close at all.

Dr. Kitty kept Kugo in sedation too. 

They knew full well that Kugo would literally go crazy if he saw Belamis in such condition.

Dr. Joey, Dr. Kitty and Professor Dodge worked round the clock to find ways to heal Belamis - especially before the next hit of Avici - the seventeenth - they knew Belamis would not be able to withstand that and she might be killed in it.

Dr. Kitty had not slept for days, and Dr. Joey came to her, "You must rest...."

"No... I have to heal Belamis..." Dr. Kitty said.

Every night Dr. Kitty would go to where Belamis was laying, and softly talked to her - Dr. Kitty knew this was one way she could comfort Belamis - at times Dr. Kitty would even sing a soft lullabuy to Belamis.

Belamis body was shaking - despite the effort to keep her still, Belamis had to move her muscles when she breathed... and each breath she took jolted her to experience horrid pains.

The pain level on Belamis was at the sixteenth level of Avici...already so high - beyond any levels that known lifeforms could withstand - all of her wounds were kept opened.

After another few days, Dr. Kitty and Dr. Joey was considering a measure.

"It is the only way...." Dr. Joey and Professor Dodge said.

"It worked on Kugo before...but it is a totally different thing today...."Dr. Joey said.

"It carries a big risk.... it will trigger the Avici on her...Belamis might die of it..." Professor Dodge said.

In the meeting was Nick, Medora as well as the three scientists.

All the analysis by the scientists boiled down to one difficult decison - should they try a procedure on Belamis - if worked it could heal her..if not it would kill her.

"Kugo is still heavily sedated..." Dr. Joey added.

Dr. Kitty remembered that procedure - to use many special needles to extract the immaculate cells from deep inside Belamis body - her deepest tissues and muscles where perhaps the Avici poison had not reached.

However the procedure was already very painful itself to Belamis as they knew from the previous experience - let alone having Belamis go through it in her present condition, which would definitely trigger the seventeenth Avici - they could not even start to think of the pain Belamis would experience at the seizure.

Dr. Kitty witnessed how Belamis suffered and in horrid pains - she could not forget the terrible screams when Belamis got through to the fifteenth Avici - in nightmares Dr. Kitty could still hear Belamis' cries of terrible pain - that scream tore Dr. Kitty's heart apart.

"Is there no other way ?" Medora asked, her voice shook.

Dr. Kitty looked through the window where Belamis was lying.

"She would have the seventeenth..and even subsequent Avici ...sooner or later..." Dr. Kitty said slowly.

"Or we might find a way to save her.." Dr. Joey said.

"Or it could kill her!!" Nick said.

"The five of us.... will take a vote...." Professor Dodge said. They had to settle it this way.

Dr. Joey and Professor Dodge supported the decision to do it. Nick and Medora were against it.

The final decision rested on Dr. Kitty - Dr. Kitty eyes filled with tears, and she said, "We have to try..."

Medora broke into tears.

Dr. Joey wept, and said. "We will prepare the procedure..."

Then they heard a small murmur - it's Belamis.

"Ku..go.... Ku..go.." Belamis was calling her lover.

"Belamis...might die.... she must be able to ...to be with Kugo..." Nick said.

Dr. Kitty nodded - that procedure might kill Belamis - and if she could not even talk or listen to Kugo's voice ..and felt his touch..that would be a terrible thing for her.

"Can Kugo take this ?" Medora asked.

They released Kugo from sedation.

"Where..where's Belamis ?" Kugo was in bed, just awake from his sedation.

"Why...why am I here ? Aren't we suppose to save Belamis and Dr. Kitty from the bad guys ???"

He noticed the strange look at everybody's face.

"What happened to Belamis ???" Kugo asked. Dr. Kitty face was solemn.

Kugo noticed that Dr. Kitty was well, "You recovered!!! Where's Belamis ???"

Kugo remembered he blacked out before even seeing Belamis.

Nick said slowly, "What you are about to see...."

Medora continued, "Belamis.... she was badly hurt....more badly hurt then you imagine... and the Doctors and Professor are doing everything they could to help her..."

Kugo sensed something very bad.

Kugo screamed - he saw the horribly wounded body of Belamis at the other side of the thick glass.

"No!!!!! No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" Kugo yelled, and he fell to the floor. He crawled to Belamis.

Nick hold him back, and said, in tears, "No... please.... don't let Belamis hear you screaming...."

Kugo's heart was torn to pieces as he saw Belamis - he was told how much pain she was in but never imagined her loosing both arms and blinded, and body so horribly torn open.

"If she dies.... I will not live either..." Kugo said slowly.

"We will save her!" Dr. Kitty said.

"Belamis needed all love and support for her to live..." Medora said, "...Dr. Kitty and you are the ones she cared most.... she needed you ..."

Kugo took a deep breath, and they put on special clothing on him to prevent infection before they let Kugo in.

Kugo got close to Belamis in clutches, and he looked at Belamis - she looked peaceful.

Belamis heard footsteps - her body was fixed with straps so that she could not move at all. Belamis let out a soft groan, and uttered, "Ku...go...." She smiled.

Kugo hold back his tears despite his heart was ripped apart inside - he loved Belamis deeply - and if she died he would not live.

Kugo could not touch Belamis - even a touch Belamis would feel painful.

"Be..la...mis..." Kugo uttered.

"Ku...go..." Belamis responded, and there's a smile on her beautiful face - despite her blinded eyes.

"I am here... " Kugo said.

"Kiss...me..." Belamis begged in a soft voice.

Kugo leaned forward and gently kissed Belamis' lips.

Tears streamed out of his eyes.

"Be..la..mis..." Kugo gasped, and he wept. He kissed Belamis.

"You will live... you...you are a tough warrior..." Kugo spoke softly, but he knew the procedure in planning would take her life if anything went wrong.

After a long 20 minutes, Kugo emerged.

Then one by one each person who loved Belamis came in and encouraged her.

Idina babbled softly, "Be...la..mis..."

Idina put her little hands onto the breasts of Belamis - they were ripped open exposing the flesh, and she touched the shoulders where the wound of Belamis detached arms were.

Idina remembered she was on Belamis' gigantic palm when Belamis was in her giantess form - Idina remembered how gentle Belamis was, and she remembered suckling on Belamis' nipples.

Idina remembered the warmth in Belamis strong arms, her strong chest that she leaned her little head on. Idina remembered suckling Belamis' soft nipples, and Belamis' blue eyes beaming out her kind look, and the sweetness of the milk from her breasts.

Belamis had no mammary glands in her breasts - because she's a Gariusu warrior giantess, her breasts were of muscular tissues - a pair of extended pectorals.

Everytime Belamis breast fed Idina she was turning her own flesh to milk to feed Idina - this Idina knew because Belamis hurt everytime she did it - that's why Idina loved Belamis very much.

Idina cried, and put her little hands on Belamis' face. Belamis smiled and uttered, "Little...one..."

Medora put her hands onto Belamis strong chest - now horribly mutilated. Tears from Medora's eyes drip onto Belamis' open wounds.

She remembered how she fell in love with Belamis when she thought she was a man, and how Belamis healed her so that she could see and talk again - then how Belamis willlingly wore the shackles on her to be her slave, and Belamis braved the dangers and restored Galaxy Energy with her in the cosmos. Their bond transends love.

Medora looked upon Belamis like a sister, and she remembered the day at the bridal shop, Belamis asked her to be the maid of honor.

Now Belamis was blinded, and her arms that used to hug Medora was gone - Medora gently kissed Belamis and stroke her hair.

Nick remembered this kind pal, one he cared a lot.

"Tough girl.....you have to make it..."

Nako gently rubbed her head at Belamis' face. She purred at her owner.

Dr. Kitty gently touched Belamis face, and kissed her cheek.

Dr. Joey said, "We will start the procedure..."

Dr. Kitty nodded, she stayed beside Belamis.

Then the system started, a total of twenty four needles operated by special robotic arm was out. The needles were long - designed to head into the deepest tissues within Belamis' body.

Dr. Joey carefully looked at the monitor - it showed a continuous scan of Belamis' body - in different colors, showing all kinds of status - all bad.

Professor was monitoring other vitals of Belamis.

Kugo, Nick, Medora, Idina and Nako waited anxiously.

"Dr. Kitty estimated that.... perhaps there is one in a hundred...they could harvest immaculate cells from with Belamis body..not poisoned by the Avici..." Nick said.

Kugo remembered - it was  similar procedure which helped him - he lost all his limbs, and the cells from Belamis was used and they helped him recover. Now they were attempting to repeat this on Belamis.

Dr. Kitty knew - once the needles bore into Belamis' body the seventeenth Avici would struck Belamis.

Dr. Kitty gently whispered to Belamis, "Child.... hold on..."

Dr. Joey said, "We are ready..."

Dr. Kitty replied, "We have to be quick...."

Professor Dodge crossed his fingers and started the program.

Then twenty four needles bored into Belamis body - on her breasts, into the side of her ribs, her underarms, her torsos and also right into her spine, and one into her genitals - into her vagina and uterus - they had to try every spot in Belamis.

The dial indicating the pain on Belamis' body dropped to zero - it was the sure sign she's going to have another Avici attack.

The dial was scaled to reflect the pain level - then it shot up - it reads 65536 followed by twenty zeros...

Belamis arched her back in horrid pain, and shook violently despite all the straps to restrain her.

Dr. Kitty put her hands on Belamis' face and gently touch her - as Belamis felt Dr. Kitty's hand, it seemed she found strength to endure.

"Aaaaaaaaarhhhhhh....eeeerrrrhhhhhhhhh...aaaaaaaooooorrrrrhhh" Belamis moaned in pain, tears streaming out of her blinded eyes.

The whole process lasted less than 10 minutes to extract the cells from Belamis' body, but the Avici lasted up to 20 minutes - and Dr. Kitty stayed with Belamis, holding her head.

Then Dr. Kitty turned up the special electrodes to stop Belamis from twitching her muscles.

"We have to start analyzing the sample cells from Belamis very quickly..." Dr. Joey said.

The three scientists worked day and night.

Dr. Joey scanned through all the electronic microscope image - they took  several thousand samples of cells from Bealmis, but so far after 2000 scans, none of the cells could be used. The Avici poison went deep down to all of Belamis' muscles - practically all her muscles were poisoned.

Dr. Kitty was worried, but she was not giving up.

"Look!!!" Professor Dodge exclaimed - from the thousand samples - they finally found one set - the cells were immaculate....

"Start growing the cells on the special culture environment!!!" Dr. Kitty ordered.

Kugo and others watched, and began to have hope - perhaps Belamis could be healed.
