Chapter 47 - Sonya's road to evil

Belamis could not stop thinking of Sonya. Sonya's sister Sherius was Belamis close friend, and there was so much memory and attachment.

Medora came out of Starry Princess and talk to her.

"You really cared a lot about Sonya...."

"Sonya and Sherius are sisters... moreover they were orphans..." Belamis continued.

"Sonya is the sister that protected Sherius...but she had her own nightmares..." Belamis said.

.....................

"What ?" Belamis exclaimed.

Sherius cried and fell into Belamis arms.

Sherius told Belamis a sad story.

Sonya and Sherius were small. Sonya was 13, Sherius 11.

Screaming..... kicking and struggling. Sherius watched helplessly.

Belamis gasped as she heard Sherius finished the story.

Sonya was pack raped.........

Sonya screamed and fought back, and the gang raped her. They eyed on Sherius.

Sonya eyes turned red, and cried, "Don't you lay fingers on my sister!"

The men hit her.

Then one of them said, "Run... there are people coming...."

They ran.

Sonya lied on the ground shaking, with Sherius weeping.

They tried going to the authorities, but the authorities cannot help.

"Sonya grew angry because fate has been unkind to her... she is jealous of your good life... and asked why she and I were born this..." Sherius cried.

"But what Sonya did next scared me..." Sherius continued.

Over the next three years, Sonya investigated, and Sonya found out the identities of those who raped her.

These guys were at a bar.

Sonya waited for them outside.

There were four men.

They laughed....

Then, Sonya located their homes.

In Yolen's main city, within six months, there were four cases of  fire which a whole family perished.

All of the four cases involved the men who raped Sonya - and along with those men their families were killed, including children and old people.

"Each time that fire happened to those families.... I remembered Sonya was out..." Sherius recalled, "...her eyes scared me...."

Belamis listened, and pondered. She decided to see Sonya.

Belamis met Sonya.

"Sonya...." Belamis uttered.

"Why are you here ?" Sonya snapped.

"About those fires..." Belamis continued.

"I did it...."

"But.... there are others killed too...." Belamis said.


"So what ? The authorities cannot help me!!!" Sonya was screaming.

"Are you going to tell this to the Police ?" Sonya asked.

Belamis remebered Sherius begged her, "Belamis... please... don't tell the authorities... what happened to Sonya was bad enough...."

Belamis replied Sherius, "I promise you, I will not tell anyone about this."

"Sonya, I know you horrible experience.... let me help..." Belamis said.

"I don't need your compassion!!! Might is right!" Sonya yelled back.

She ran away.

...................

"Poor Sonya..." Medora said.

"Sherius told me. After Sonya killed those who raped her... she was another person..." Belamis continued.

Fate landed Belamis and Sonya in the same school, and Sonya was always just a step behind Belamis in many things - academically Belamis was bright, and in athletics Belamis was a star, outshining Sonya.

Sherius watched Sonya trying to compete with Belamis, comparing herself with Belamis in all kinds of ways.

"Sonya.... you are giving yourself a hard time..." Sherius talked to Sonya while they ate dinner.

"What ?"

"Sonya....I think you and Belamis can be good friends...." Sherius continued...

Sonya was silent.

It's not that Sonya hated Belamis from day one they knew each other, it was just that Sonya felt beaten every time Belamis excelled. Sonya wanted to be at the top, to try and erase the shame and hurt she experienced.

It was at another sports' day in the school. The competition was track and fields -- triathlon in the Gariusu, Yolen and Talusan triplet -- which included running, swords fighting and combating.

Sonya was good in running and swords fighting, Belamis excelled in  swords fighting and combating. The two were considered close match.

They first compete in running. It was a medium distance race which the length was about 15 kilometers. Belamis and Sonya started and competed. At first it was Sonya who led. Later on Belamis caught up with her steady pace and longer steps, and she crossed the finish line with Sonya at the same time. They tied.

Then it came to swords fighting, the two had a very close match. They got the same marks.

Finally the combating.

Belamis stood 1.75 meters, Sonya 1.65 meters. From the beginning Sonya's size was a disadvantage. Sonya trained hard to increase her strength. At the start she was the aggressive one, attacking Belamis first.

She locked Belamis neck with a cross hand lock, and she kicked Belamis legs, so that Belamis could not stand up and was strangled by Sonya.

"Arrrh..." Belamis groaned.

Sonya was glad she got the upper hand. She tightened the lock by pulling her right arm with her left arm - the right arm was locking on Belamis' neck. Belamis tried to stand up to release the pressure on her neck and throat for the lock was suffocating her, but Sonya kicked her legs from behind, so that Belamis was literally hanging from her neck which was locked by Sonya.

"Belamis!!!" Medona and Sherius screamed. With this lock, Belamis would suffocate and her neck could be broken.

"Belamis!!! I will win!!" Sonya said. Sonya then tightened her lock with her right arm - she trained hard and that lock could crush Belamis' throat.

Belamis clutched her teeth and tried to break the lock.

Sonya then used her left hand which was free, and she grabbed Belamis' left breast with her hand and pressed Belamis' nipple hard with her left thumb. That was a painful pressure point.

Belamis felt immense pain, but she endured and tried to stand up with her legs to ease the pressure on her neck.

"Take that!!" Sonya yelled, as she pressed hard on Belamis left nipple with her thumbs.

"No...." Medona could not bear to watch. The spectators were shocked to watch such battle.

Then Belamis exerted her muscles on her breast.

"What ????" Sonya pressed Belamis' left nipple with her thumb, thinking it could deliver maximum harm and pain to her - but to Sonya's surprise, she felt Belamis' breast was pushing back strongly.

Then Belamis yelled, and she lifted Sonya and tossed her away, throwing her to the ground.

Sonya was astonished - and before she could respond Belamis sent a flying kick hitting her face and knock her out.

Belamis won the competition, and she pressed her painful left breast nipple. There were bruises on her neck too.

Belamis tried to help Sonya up. Sonya refused to take Belamis hand and left.

"Belamis.... my sister...." Sherius was not happy with the competition.. especially the way Sonya tried to win.

Belamis replied, "No worries... its a competition... Sonya's just doing her best..."

"No.... I see in her eyes.... she is really trying to hurt you..." Sherius said. Medona added, "I was frightened too..."

Belamis signed. She had no intention to treat Sonya as an enemy. Belamis wanted to have better relationship with her.


After this competition Sonya dislike towards Belamis grew.

Sherius and Medona were friends. Belamis was also their friends, and she cared about the two girls. The three spent a lot of time together - without Sonya, and that further alienated her.


At the high school graduation, Belamis was not the top student, but she got a scholarship to study in the astronaut institute for her dream to become an astronaut.

Belamis walked to Sonya after the ceremony, and said, "Hey... Sonya..."

Sonya looked back coldly. Sonya entered military school, and she said, "I don't like you at all.... you always beat me..."

"Sonya.... I..." Belamis tried to say words to befriend Sonya.

"Sherius has me to protect her... she don't need you!" Sonya snapped back and just left.

Years later, Belamis became the cyborg warrior and joined the army, and then they met again. Belamis was only a First Lieutenant, but Sonya was in the army earlier than Belamis and she was Colonel already. Belamis had to take orders from Sonya.

Belamis saluted Sonya, "Colonel Sonya..."

Sonya smiled as this was the very rare moments she beat Belamis.

"Tomorrow morning, run 30 laps round the camp carrying this..." Sonya pointed to a sack of bricks.

Belamis was silent, and she complied. She ran the 30 laps carrying the bricks. The other colleagues watched.

Sonya then from time to time make Belamis do chores and difficult tasks. Belamis completed them without a word.


Yet after battles after battles, Belamis was honored because of her courage, leadership and fine command. Belamis got the Purple Star, which was the highest honor to award a soldier for his/her fine fighting.

Moreover Belamis was popular among the soldiers. They admired her and disliked Sonya.

This day, Sherius came visit Sonya at the army quarters. As Sherius said goodbye to Sonya, she saw Belamis.

Sonya saw Belamis and then she looked the other side and walked away.

Sherius ran to Belamis, and said, "Belamis.... could you help me ?"

"What ?"

Sherius continued, "The monsters are increasing.... Yolen and your planet were threatened.. you fight alongside with Sonya... please help to keep her safe...."

Belamis listened.

"She's my only family...." Sherius said softly.

"Am I asking too much after all those things she did to you ?" Sherius continued. She heard from other officers how Sonya mistreated Belamis.

"I promise..." Belamis replied. Sherius hugged Belamis.

It was this promise Belamis made to Sherius years ago that made Belamis hesitated to fight Sonya.

Yet Sonya's personality grew darker and darker. As Belamis excelled in the army, winning more and more support, Sonya's dislike towards Belamis grew into hatred.

Then the final straw.

Belamis did not know, that Sonya had a crush on Nick. However, Nick loved Belamis.

"Sonya, I am sorry.... I don't want you to be my girlfriend... we can be pals..." Nick replied.

Sonya face turned pale then red with anger.

"Who's the woman!!???"

Nick was silent.

Then Sonya noticed Nick was wearing a scarf.....

Sonya immediately recognized that it was Belamis' scarf.

Belamis gave this to Nick as a present before they parted from the joint camp.

Sonya's heart burnt with anger, jealousy and all kinds of feelings...

Then Sonya let out her bad feelings in battle, and to a point she even endangered her colleagues and fellow soldier, that she attacked Belamis when Belamis tried to stop her.

It was another night without sleep, and Belamis stood up and prepare to set out with Medora again.

Belamis turned to giantess form and her shackles attached to Starry Princess. She said in telepathy to Medora, "Let's go..."

Medora looked out from Starry Princess' window and was worried. She knew Belamis was up all night, and something was bothering her.

Belamis sensed Medora's concern, and replied in telepathy, "Yes... I am thinking about Sonya..."

Belamis kept pulling Starry Princess just to make herself stop thinking about Sonya.

Before Belamis and Medora was another planet.

Belamis felt uneasy and growled again.

Belamis landed Starry Princess. Medora came out.

"Belamis... what is it again ?"

Belamis let out a growling sound. People living in this planet came out, and they swarm to Belamis.

"Please... save us from the demon of the wind ..."

"Demon of the wind ?" Belamis thought.

Before Belamis could get her mind round it, there's a tornado appearing before them. That tornado had eyes!

"It's another monster created by Delexa!" Medora said.

"Good answer..." It's Sonya's voice.

Medora screamed, "Why don't you come out and fight Belamis like a warrior!!!!????"

Sonya was stunned, and then she replied, "I want Belamis to suffer first!! Hahahaha..."

Belamis roared, and she saw the tornado was heading to the people.

The shackles on her detached and Belamis ran to the tornado monster.

"Arr...." The tornado created a vacuum and a pressure gradient, cutting Belamis' body. Belamis roared, and she lashed the chains on her shackles to the tornado monster.

The tornado monsters gave out a horrible sound, and used its forces to throw debris at Belamis. Belamis shielded herself with her arms, and charged.

"That monster would not have substance as does the others..." Belamis thought.

Belamis charged it, only to be caught on a multi-sprout form. Belamis upper torso and lower torso were sucked in by two funnels, and they rotated in opposite directions, effectively twisting Belamis body like one twisted a towel.

Belamis roared as she battled the forces.

Sonya was watching, and she saw Belamis' bravery which was the same as she was in the younger times.

"Belamis... what give you such courage!!!???"

The two funnels of tornado monster tried to tear Belamis apart, but Belamis was strong and she battled the forces.

"This is not a battle by sheer strength..." Belamis thought, as she surveyed the surroundings.

Then Belamis found it - the cloud where the monster got its energy.

Belamis roared and she gathered cosmic energy between her hands and sent the ball of energy to the storm clouds.

Boooooooooooommmmmmmmm.

The storm cloud dissipated,  and the tornado monster gone.

"Belamis...." Sonya thought.

The battleship escaped.

Belamis stood on the ground in giantess form, and in deep thought. She dared not tell Medora about it.
