Chapter 46 - Old days at Gariusu, Talusan and Yolen

Belamis stayed up, remaining in human form and looked at the heavens, and hands juggling the chains of her shackles.

She signed.

Sherius, who were the officer at Lacets Legion, was from Yolen. In fact Sherius was the younger sister of Sonya.

Belamis knew Sherius and Sonya since they were young.

The people living in the triplets at Belamis' star system had a lot of contacts, they attended schools cross planets, and Belamis attended schools and met the sisters, and of course her closest friend Medona.

Belamis closed her eyes and recalled those happy days when she and others had hopes for their future.

Medona was helping Sherius to paint her finger nails. Belamis sat at the other end, reading a book.

"Come on Belamis! You should try some of these make-up!" Sherius shouted at her.

"Me ? Make-up ?"

"Your beautiful face will stun all the guys at the dance!" Medona smiled.

"No way.... I don't like these stuff..." Belamis shook her head.

"Where's Sonya ?" Medona asked.

Sherius fell silent. She and Sonya were almost opposite in all conceivable ways. Sonya was aggressive, strong willed and pushy person. Sherius was gentle and more accommodating.

Belamis looked towards them, and said, "Sonya's is in the gym again ?"

Sherius nodded.

In the school, Belamis and Sonya were both star athletes. Belamis specialized in sword fighting, combating and gymnastics, whereas Sonya also in sword fighting, but in track and fields.

The two young women won many competitions, but Belamis, who was taller, more "manly", was popular among the students. Sonya was a beauty, but somehow she was not as popular.

"Sonya hated it when our classmates liked you more than her..." Sherius signed.

"That's not a reason to be jealous of Belamis..." Medona added.

Belamis recalled just two months ago, the two was competing in sword fighting for the place to represent their school.

The two swords fighter's swords clashed, and Belamis fought with grace and glamor, whereas Sonya agile and powerful.

Then Sonya's sword speeded towards Belamis neck.

"Foul! No attacking of opponents neck!" The umpire declared.

Sonya face was red.

"Deduct 5 points !" The referee said.

The two resume fight. Belamis was playing by the rules and she indeed was so much more skillful than Sonya.

It made Sonya mad to see her graceful and glamorous way of fighting. The spectators cheered Belamis as Belamis moved gracefully in her sword.

Then Sonya turned and suddenly another attack.

Belamis saw the sword coming straight to her face.

"Sonya.... don't attack this way... you are all open to my strikes..." Belamis said.

"You are not faster than me!" Sonya shouted.

The tip of the sword raced to Belamis face, Belamis stood still and moved her head, just in time to avoid it and then she raised her sword and struck at Sonya's sword, hitting it off her hands.

The sword flied to one side and fell to the ground.

Belamis pointed her sword at Sonya's chest. At the left side of Belamis, some of her hair was cut by Sonya's sword, and a little cut was on Belamis left face near her ear.

The spectators, among them Medona and Sherius, cheered.
Sonya was shaking in anger. She stared at the spectators stand, and stared straight at Sherius.

Sherius initially was cheering for Belamis, but when her eyes met Sonya's, she stopped.

"Belamis will be our schools representative for the coming competition, and Sonya her standby!" Announced the referee, who was also their trainer.

Belamis packed her stuff and changed her clothes. She heard some footsteps and she turned and looked over her shoulders.

It's Sonya, carrying her sword.

"Come out with me..." Sonya said coldly. Belamis felt a chill down her spine.

"No..." Belamis replied.

Sonya pulled out her sword and pointed at Belamis.

"You have no choice...."

Belamis stood and looked at Sonya straight into her eyes. Belamis was fearless even she was just 16.

Sonya walked one step closer to Belamis and the top of her sword was touching Belamis' left side of her chest.

"Stop !!" Sherius stormed in and yelled.

"Stay out of it!" Belamis shouted.

"Belamis..... please, Sonya... don't do this... Belamis is our friend!" Sherius pleaded.

Sonya's face was expressionless, but her eyes burned with anger. Belamis looked at her calmly.

Sonya pushed her sword, and it poked into Belamis left breast just a bit, and cut her flesh.

Belamis felt the pain, but stood still.

"Trying to play tough with me ?" Sonya laughed.

Belamis walked forward, and Sonya was taken by surprise and she pull back her sword.

"You...???" Sonya said.

"I am not going to fight you.." Belamis said. Her blouse had a hole on her left chest, and blood was coming out, the sword went deeper when Belamis walked forward.

"Belamis!" Sherius yelled.

Sonya looked at the tip of her sword, it had Belamis' blood on it, and dripping to the floor.

Sonya ran away.

Belamis fell on her knees, and Sherius ran to her.

"You are wounded..."

Belamis pressed her right and on her wound, and said, "Tell nobody else about this..."

Belamis could not compete because she was wounded. She rested in her home with bandages on her wound.

"Hi..." Sherius and Medona came to visit.

"Hi.." Belamis smiled. "Ouch..." Belamis hurt when she moved.

"I am sorry..." Sherius said.

"No worries..." Belamis smiled.

Medona knew what happened as Sherius told her the incident.

"You decided to stay silent ?" Medona said.

Belamis nodded. "She's Sherius sister, I don't want to hurt Sherius' feelings."

"Belamis, what Sonya did to you is bad..." Medona said, "If that sword got in another inch you would be killed..."

"I won't be killed.." Belamis smiled. She was already fearless when she was younger.

The sword fighting competition ended with Sonya grabbing the championship. In the school there was a ceremony presenting her in front of all students.

The clapping was not that enthusiastic.

Sonya's heart sank. After the ceremony, she saw Belamis was surrounded by other students. They were concerned of her wound.

Sonya's was furious.

These recollection just flashed by Belamis mind, and she signed. Now the four girls, two of them died. Only Belamis and Sonya survived.

"We went back so many years..." Belamis thought to herself.

Medora went out and saw Belamis all by herself.

"Are you cold ?" Medora asked. Belamis was naked, wearing only a cloth round her waist.

"Thanks.. I am fine... Tomorrow we have to proceed..." Belamis "Sleep now.. I will stay here.."

Medora  sat beside Belamis and rest her head on Belamis' strong shoulder.

Belamis stroked Medora's hair and silently thinking.

The next day, Belamis transformed into the giantess and carried Starry Princess on her back.

"Let's go..." Belamis said in telepathy.

The people in the planet came out in numbers to bid them farewell.

Belamis smiled.

As Belamis pulled Starry Princess along, she felt a presence.

Belamis turned and there it was the battleship of Sonya.

Sonya looked at the screen, and hold her sword tightly.

"Captain Sonya, that's the giantess..." The soldier reported.

"Deploy our monster..." Sonya commanded.

Belamis looked and from the battleship a monster emerged.

"What is that ?" Belamis wondered, and she growled.

"Belamis ? Monster again ?" Medora asked.

"Stay inside Starry Princess, buckle up!" Belamis replied.

"Sonya.... I really don't want to fight you... you are Sherius sister...." Belamis thought.

The monster looked strange. It was like a large cloud, with flashes.

Then it turned into a tiger - it was the same kind of photon monster Belamis met before.

"Damn... if I and Starry Princess got caught into the cloud of photon.... I can withstand the electromagnetic blast, but Medora..." Belamis thought.

The chains on Belamis' shackles detached from Starry Princess, allowing her to move freely and prepare to fight.

The tiger roared ferociously, and Belamis roared back at it, and she flexed her muscles.

"Let's see how you deal with it..." Laughed Sonya.

Belamis charged the monster, but she knew it would be difficult - that monster was massless and had no substance.

Belamis silently gathered cosmic energy in her body, like when she prepared her space sword tsunami.

"I have to combat energy with energy...."

The photon monster's eyes fired at Belamis. Belamis spinned her chains and blocked the attack.

Then suddenly monster jumped at Belamis, and to her surprise, that monster suddenly had substance, and it sank its teeth to Belamis right shoulder. Then the monster gave out a strong blast of electromagnetic shock.

Belamis roared in pain and tried to pushed the monster away, but all her hands could feel is nothing, except her shoulders hurt badly, and it was torn open.

"This monster can assume a body form or none - turning from energy to mass and back freely..." Sonya said.

"Space hurricane!" Belamis roared, and let out a large burst of energy which spinned like a hurricane, dispersing the photon monster.

"Nice try..." Smiled Sonya.

The monster suddenly turned to four pockets of electromagnetic photon cloud, and fired lightning at Belamis.

Belamis was shot and growled in pain.

"Told you... hahahah...."

Belamis growled, and let out her electromagnetic blasts. The photon monster gathered again and turned into the tiger form, roaring at Belamis.

Belamis knew it was different from before, and in a flash of insight, she found the way.

Belamis charged the photon monster again, and the photon monster again bit her.

Belamis let the monster bit her, but then the monster could not run free.

"What the...?"

"Captain... the giantess is actually absorbing the energy from the monster when it had physical contact with her!"

Then Belamis roared and in close range, let out her electromagnetic blasts, neutralizing it.

"Belamis!!! " Sonya bang the console in frustration.

The battleship left.

Belamis looked, and thought about Sonya, and she signed.
